The Rosedale Club Cardio Conditioning
Cardio Conditioning

Cardio – from the Greek word kardia, “pertaining to the heart”; (fitness) any movement that keeps the heart rate elevated for a prolonged period

This powerful, calorie-burning, aerobic workout at our Toronto health club is designed to get your energy up, keep you moving and keep your most important muscle in the best shape possible.

HIIT – HIIT refers to High Intensity Interval Training. This is an intense cardiovascular workout with short rest-to-work ratios, which means more calories burned in less time.

HIIT THE CORE – Go hardcore. This HIIT session has a heightened focus on movements which target the core muscles that make you move and pump up your six pack, without doing crunches.

BOOT CAMP – Become stronger, faster and leaner in this never-the-same athletic workout. Part cardio, part strength and all intense. Work on your own, with the support of a team. Just show up and be ready to move!
NOTE: Sessions take place in the main studio or turf area.

CARDIO COMBAT – “This ain’t no Tae Bo”. You don’t know what “hard” is until you have experienced Cardio Combat! CARDIO
There is no other kick boxing session like this…anywhere! This high-energy fusion of boxing and taekwondo utilizes only authentic techniques, set to pumping music and will leave you soaked!

HUSSLE – A fast paced cardio strength circuit sensation. Multi station work out on the perimeter of the room, drill training in the middle. This work out will keep you moving without worrying about the beat!

TABATA BOOT CAMP – High intensity interval timing takes this bootcamp workout to a whole other level!

CARDIO, CORE AND MORE – Think of this as your buffet work out, A little bit of everything, and a lot of work!

The Rosedale Club Crossfit
Cross Fitness

Cross fitness – a workout at our Toronto gym whose key elements include variation, functional movement and high intensity

Run, jump, slam, press, throw, push and pull. We do whatever works to bring out your best.

TURF TRAINING – You don’t need to be a paid athlete to train like one. On the over 100 Feet of Turf, you will push, pull, jump, slam, run and crawl – the only thing you won’t do is quit! START DATE: TBA

BOOT CAMP – Become stronger, faster and leaner in this never-the-same athletic workout. Part cardio, part strength and all intense. Work on your own, with the support of a team. Just show up and be ready to move!

The Rosedale Club Strength Conditioning
Strength & Conditioning

Strength – from the word Latin fortitudo; the quality or state of being strong; bodily or mental power, force or vigor

With strength & conditioning group exercise at our Toronto gym, you’ll train your physical and mental muscle at the same time to become stronger, more committed, and prepared to handle anything that comes your way.

 

BARRE – Ballet inspired training exercises and movements are used to tone and tighten you in all the right spots in this no-impact workout. You will feel taller and your muscles will feel longer. No experience required. Dress in comfortable, non-restricting clothes. This session may be performed in bare feet.

BARRE-LATES – A split between Barre and Pilates, it’s the best of both worlds in one great session. 

HIIT THE BARRE – Barre work alternating with high intensity drills.

CARDIO, CORE AND MORE – Think of this as your buffet work out, A little bit of everything, and a lot of work!

PURE STRENGTH – No Cardio here. Get stronger, not bigger. A comprehensive session to build bone density, bring strength and shape to your muscles and train the core.

POWER FLEX – A total body Barbell work out. You will hit every major muscle in this work out and then some! Tired? You will leave energized! Don’t want lift heavy? You probably should! You will only get more defined and stronger. (“But I don’t want to get more defined or stronger”…said no one, ever!)

ATHLETIC YOGA – A little more focused on the needs of the athlete- opening the hips, range of motion in the shoulder, back and arm strength.

LUNCH CRUNCH – In a crunch for time but want to get your work out in? This 30-min cardio/strength express workout will cover you from head to toe.

Group Cycle

Cycle – from the Latin word cyclus; to ride or travel by bicycle for sport or recreation

At our gym in Toronto, you’ll ride in a TechnoGym Flag Ship studio featuring an interactive display paired with app. mapping technology to keep your workouts on track. Each ride is coach-led by professionals, set to powerful music, and designed to make you forget you are working out. Follow the screen, or simply ride like the wind! 45 minutes will feel like 20. Remember to log into MYWELLNESSAPP and track your progress.

The Rosedale Club Yoga
Yoga

Yoga – from Sanskrit, meaning “union”; a series of postures and breathing exercises practiced to achieve control of the body and mind

Yoga teachers at the best gym in Toronto are highly experienced and their passion will be obvious. Hatha Yoga incorporates most yoga styles that can accommodate all levels of student. With regular practice you can expect to notice greater mobility, increase in full body strength, increase self-awareness, a calming in the nervous system, and a more rested breath.

HEATED YOGA – A vigorous approach to Hatha Yoga performed in a heated room, up to 105 degrees*. Typically, 26 standard postures are followed.

*Due to the heated room, this session may not be suitable for all participants and a family doctor should be consulted before participating.

LENGTHEN AND LET GO – Yoga inspired stretch, meditative breath and shivasana, set to a candle lit room.

YOGA RISE AND FLOW – Just like it sounds! Vinyasa flow set to music. Enjoy!

FLOW RIDER – 30 minutes of Intervals on the Bike! 30 minutes of Yoga. Perfect! Arrive in the cycling room early to set up your bike and log in to MYWELLNESSAPP

The Rosedale Club Dance
Dance (hip hop, jazz, latin)

Dance – from the French word dance, derivative of dancier; to move one’s body rhythmically in a pattern of steps, especially to the accompaniment of music

At our gym in Toronto, press play and don’t stop till the music does. Focus on the natural high found in dance, and the fitness will follow.

ZUMBA – It’s a Latin-style throw down every time we press play! Dance, shake and groove your way to fitness in a class that feels like a party but delivers the results of an intense workout. Only taught by certified Zumba teachers and set to music that simply makes you want to move! All you need to do is show up and smile!

YOGA RHYTHM FLOW – Just like it sounds! Vinyasa flow set to music. Enjoy!

The Rosedale Club Core
Core

Core – from Latin cor, meaning “heart”; the central, innermost, or most essential part of anything; (fitness) the core includes almost all muscles aside from legs and arms

Core group exercise at our health club in Toronto is an abdominal blast, Pilates, and yoga all in one. This multi-disciplinary class focuses on getting your inside strong so everything on the outside looks and feels effortless.

HIIT THE CORE – Go hardcore. This HIIT session has a heightened focus on movements which strengthen the core muscles in your abdominal region.

PILATES – This a no-impact session based on movements that require you to engage virtually your whole body. Results include increased range of motion, muscular endurance, full body strength, as well as better posture, focus and mental awareness.
NOTE: This is an intense session and you won’t be sitting still.

BARRE-LATES – A 50/50 split between Barre and Pilates, it’s the best of both worlds in one great class.

CORE RIDER – 30 minutes of Intervals on the Bike! 30 minutes of no nonsense Pilates. What else is there to say? Arrive in the cycling room early to set up your bike and log in to MYWELLNESSAPP

The Rosedale Club Mind and Body
Mind & Body

Mind – derived from the Sanskrit matih, meaning “thought” and Latin mens, for “understanding, reason”.
Body – from Old English bodig for “trunk, chest”; the material organism of an individual; not of the soul, but physical

Mind & body classes at our Toronto health club help you apply dedicated thought and reason to the execution of each breath, movement or posture and create a heightened sense of physical and mental awareness.

PILATES – This is a no-impact session based on movements that require you to engage virtually your whole body through strengthening your core. Results include increased range of motion, muscular endurance, full body strength, as well as better posture, focus and mental awareness. You will not be sitting still!

BARRE – You’ve been called to the Barre! This no-impact workout, originally developed with dance in mind, uses smaller movements to tone and tighten your upper and lower muscles, firming up the inner thigh and glutes. No experience required. Dress in comfortable, non-restricting clothes. This session may be performed in bare feet.

BARRE-LATES – A 50/50 split between Barre and Pilates, it’s the best of both worlds in one great class.
